This Limited Edition print started with a photograph taken at the SUN ‘n FUN campus in Lakeland, Florida. Director of Operations Greg Gibson snapped the photo right before heading for the cockpit one morning. He posted the photo on Facebook; it was spotted and admired instantly by Sam and Mindy. Thus a painting was born. The magnificent biplane is a 1941 N2S3 Stearman Kaydet. It was donated to SUN ‘n FUN in 2008 by generous benefactor Dean Edmunds. Known as “Wonderful Wendy,” the airplane is maintained and flown by SUN ‘n FUN volunteers and staff. The aircraft travels to various events and airshows to promote SUN ‘n FUN.
