Gallery Overview

General Aviation

What’s your favorite airplane? A Piper Cub? Maybe a Cessna or a Stearman? Review the collection in this section of the Gallery.

This dramatic print was produced from a 2-ft. x 4-ft. original that Sam painted and donated to the Red Tail Project. The Red Tail people held a press conference to show off the painting and explain about their fundraising efforts to rebuild a P-51 and honor the Tuskegee Airmen. The original painting was unveiled at the 2008 EAA Oshkosh AirVenture.

Military Aviation

Sam has great respect for our military and it shows in every print that features an aircraft flown in battle. In this section of the Gallery Sam salutes the P-51 Mustang, the F-16, the B-24, Corsairs and many others.

Non-aviation includes peaceful nature and architectural scenes. There are also some beautifully rendered automobiles and motorcycles.

Original Paintings

Sam creates original paintings just for the fun and challenge. These acrylic paintings come beautifully framed and are ready to hang in your home or office. Take a look at what’s available.

Imagine owning a Sam Lyons painting of your own airplane. It could be the plane you have now, the one you had your first ride in, or one that brings back special memories. A commission by Sam is a unique and lasting keepsake.
