Description
An historic lighthouse stands guard at St. George Island in Florida. In real life the lighthouse fell and was mostly destroyed due to land erosion. In 2009 it was rebuilt in a new, safer location. The new construction included a scenic park area and visitor’s center.
St. George Island is a beautiful spot in it’s own right, directly off the Gulf Coast of Florida. Just 28 miles long, it’s one of the last inhabited yet unspoiled barrier islands in Florida. It has beaches that are highly rated, not crowded, and perfect for shelling and walking. There are no high rises on the island to spoil the view.
