Sir, i am not sure that the B-25J model 6L was the Cowtown Avenger, in fact she was the Rinkee Doo. 43-27639 The aicraft was in the 340th BG 486th BS at Alesan in Corsica France. The 6L Cowtown Avenger was a B-25D, she served in Africa and was the 41-30101. If you are interested, I could send you two photos of the different airplanes.

I had the pleasure of meeting Sam by driving crosscountry with his cub frame attached to the roof of a car. The car was on a trailer and it looked quite strange. Hello Sam, I saw your picture of the Wing and A Prayer Chapel and wanted you to know my husband Daryl and I built a small chapel in our woods, next to our dirt runway, in the high desert of Colorado and named it the Wing and A Prayer Chapel!
