This incredibly life-like scene with a very pretty Cub on floats was named as of August 6, 2010, after a "Name the Painting" contest was held during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh (July 26 – August 1). The details on this print are so exact, you can hear the call of the birds and the gentle whoosh of their wings. Feel the heaviness of the Florida air. Take a breath and you can smell the slightly musky, earthy scent of the lush tropical greenery. And how about the gator? Can you spot her? This is the view Sam and Mindy have from their Lakeland backyard. Unfortunately a gorgeous Cub float plane does not sit by their dock. They don’t even have a dock … yet. But that’s the beauty of artistic license. A scene doesn’t really have to exist in order for Sam to paint it.
Just so you know, Sam can Remarque this print with your N# or personalize other features of the plane (like cowling, exhaust, rudder, etc.) for a charge. Call the studio (800-544-4992)for more info.
The 16” x 20” prints are available in a Limited Edition size of 300 Signed & Numbered; 30 Artist Proofs; and 25 Giclee Prints on Canvas. If framed, it will consist of double mats, plaque, and a wood frame.

PERSONALIZE THIS PRINT WITH YOUR NAME! There’s a lot to lure you into Sam’s first painting of a Cub on floats. The outstanding Piper Cub grabs your attention, along with a few fishermen (Sam is among them). You’ll smile at the Bait Shop and Sushi Bar sign, and the Lyons’ sweet kitty, Beau, up in the tree.
