Besides the print on the Just Released page, here are other recently released Limited Edition prints. J3 Morning
NEWEST CUB RELEASE! This striking view of a 1946 Cub shows Sam's talent at its best. As the sunlight creeps in the hangar, it turns the Piper into polished gold. You can see every single detail of the J3 as she waits for her pilot to wake up and get her in the sky. This print was named through a “Name the Painting” contest held at Sun 'n Fun 2009 where the original was unveiled. Weldon Wainright of Vero Beach, Fla., submitted the winning name out of hundreds of entries. Anyone who buys a print of “J3 Morning” is a winner too! You'll be captivated by the playful shadows and slightly magical mood. The 16” x 20” prints are available in a Limited Edition size of 400 Signed & Numbered; 40 Artist Proofs; and 25 Giclee Prints on Canvas. Red Tail By Request
NEW P-51 PRINT! This dramatic print was produced from a 2-ft. x 4-ft. original that Sam painted and donated to the Red Tail Project. The original painting was unveiled on July 28 at the 2008 EAA Oshkosh AirVenture. The Red Tail people held a press conference to show off the painting and explain about their fundraising efforts to rebuild a P-51 and honor the Tuskegee Airmen. A man in the audience raised his hand and said he’d write a check right then for $25,000!!! SOLD! You don’t have to pay that kind of money for a piece of history. The 15” x 30” prints are available in a Limited Edition size of 500 Signed & Numbered, 50 Artist Proofs, and 25 Prints on Canvas. If paper print is framed, it will consist of double mats (outer is medium grey speckled with black core; inner is red to match the Red Tail), plaque, Army Air Corps wings and a stunning silver matte wood frame. Leland's Legacy
SAM'S FIRST AG PLANE PRINT! Leland Snow revolutionized the aerial agriculture and firefighting industry over the past 50 years. In doing so he built better planes and a company called Air Tractor, Inc., based in Olney, Texas. The trio of airplanes pictured -- the S-2A, AT-301 and AT-802 -- represent a lifetime of achievement. Notice how the N# on the plane in the sky … N50LS … commemorates Leland Snow’s history. The 24” x 36” original of this print was presented to Leland in April 2008 during a celebration at the factory that included an air show and fireworks. The 15” x 23” prints are available in a Limited Edition size of 300 Signed & Numbered, 30 Artist Proofs and 20 Prints on Canvas. The Last Air Show
You can almost hear the roar of the brightly colored SIAI Marchetti as it blows past the crowd at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2007. Debbie Gary is in the cockpit and she’s been thrilling crowds since she became a professional aerobatic pilot in October 1971. Debbie wows her audience one final time in her sleek Italian aircraft. There are some “real” people in the painting, including EAA founder Paul Poberezny; Sam’s wife Mindy, Kevin Williamson of CH Products, Dick McSpadden, pilot and father of a former Thunderbird lead pilot; and GA News photographer Will Jones. Sam used himself as a model a few times, changing his shirt, hair or hat. The truest representation of him is the man waving at right, in the red shirt. Tuskegee Ace
SAM’S FIRST TUSKEGEE P-51!! This magnificent P-51 Mustang was flown by Lt. Lee Archer, the only Tuskegee Ace. His amazing accomplishments include flying 169 missions and scoring five kills in the P-51 … three of those were in one engagement on October 12, 1944. The plane was named “Ina - Macon Belle” after the girl Archer was sweet on at the time. Ina was charmed and the couple were married for 54 wonderful years. The most amazing feature of this print is the amount of details in the shiny surface of the P-51. The more you look, the more you’ll see!
